The Comprehensive District Improvement Plan for Edmonson County School District is a multi-year roadmap focused on enhancing student achievement, fostering growth, and eliminating achievement gaps. It outlines seven key goals, including increasing Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) scores in reading, mathematics, science, social studies, and writing across all grade levels. The plan also prioritizes improving English Learner progress, enhancing school climate and safety, and maintaining high rates of postsecondary readiness and graduation. Addressing foundational skill deficits, supporting special education students, and reducing barriers to learning are central to achieving its vision of comprehensive student success.
The board conducted several organizational and administrative actions, including the appointment of the chairperson, vice-chairperson, secretary, treasurer, and board attorney for the calendar year. Key financial items included the approval of the treasurer's report, the 2025-2026 draft budget, a STEM grant for the high school, project payments for multiple district facilities, and updates to the substitute teacher salary schedule. Additionally, the board approved the district improvement plan, attendance at an annual conference, various personnel reports for certified and classified staff, student attendance reports, suspension reports, medical leave requests, fundraising activities, and educational field trips.
